Our Story
Call us explorers, backpackers, or travel junkies. We are two siblings that turned their passion into their profession true to the motto made by travelers for travelers. We are Guide2Globe.
As a young travel startup, we understand exactly what you need to explore your next destination. Working yourself through overwhelming information overload, the stress of putting together a travel itinerary according to your interests – it all implies hours of searching the internet, reading travel guides and blogs, and filtering information. Thanks to Guide2Globe it now belongs to the past.
Knowing these difficulties, we put our creative heads and travel hearts together and found a way to make traveling easier. We are proud to share a travel tool with you which makes the heart of every traveler beat faster. Filter routes individually and only access the information you are interested in through our new app. Build your adventure, your way – as individual as you are.
Meet the team
About Fabio
Hi, I am Fabio! Strengthened by my family’s enthusiasm for traveling, my passion for it was awakened at an early age. Naturally, my sister developed the same desire to explore the world, which led to our first solo trip to Milan, Italy, at the age of 14. Without much money or knowledge on hand, one can imagine how disastrous this trip has been. But it didn’t scare us away from continuing to discover the globe.
From then on, I took care of my travel preparations and got better with every country I’ve visited. As I became more aware of my passion, my vacations during university became longer. I’ve been traveling to countries solo or with my sister as my travel buddy, and today I am exploring the globe with my fiancé. By turning my hobby into my profession, travelers can benefit from our experiences and get to know a country’s culture in a respectful and sustainable way. That’s why we founded Guide2Globe.
About Mareike
Hi! My name is Mareike and I am a female solo traveler, Fabio’s sister and travel companion, and co-founder of Guide2Globe. My biggest passion is traveling. It’s what I love, it’s what I do and it’s what I am genuinely good at. No wonder I exchanged my scientific career for my independence as an author and designer. So far, I have traveled to more than 60 countries around the globe and the list keeps growing. Today I split my home between Germany, Latin America, and the world. I live my dream – a nomadic life – with my dog Lulu and husband Paul on board, always up for a new adventure!
